St. Lucie County Values Continue To Rise In 2019

For the seventh consecutive year, property values have increased throughout St. Lucie County. The St. Lucie County Property Appraiser, the Honorable Michelle Franklin and her office have released their final value estimates to the taxing authorities and have submitted the tax roll to the Department of Revenue. The city of Port St. Lucie led the way with a 12% increase year-over-year while unincorporated St. Lucie County saw an increase of 8.3%. This is followed by Fort Pierce with an increase of 7.3%, and the small town of St. Lucie Village with a 7% increase. The Florida Department of Revenue will now review and approve the tax roll for the 2019 tax year. The TRIM Notices will be sent out to the property owners in mid-August with the appeal deadline to follow 25 days after the mailing of the notices.

The amount you will pay in property taxes for 2019 is directly based on the County’s opinion of Market and Assessed Value for your property. With property values on the rise for most property types, it is important for a qualified property tax professional to review and analyze your properties to ensure that your values are fair and equitable. If you feel the value of your property is too high or just wish to have an independent review, then we encourage you to call us at  (954) 282-2005 or email Brian at b.depotter@first-pointe.com or Nick at n.mau@first-pointe.com.
